A one-time per-GB fee applies when data is ingested into the processing engine before being added to a matter. This covers extraction, OCR preparation, indexing, and embedding generation. $1.50/GB – $3.00/GB.

What counts toward GB usage?
Processing volume is the total size of all data processed, including duplicates. Hosting volume is typically smaller — it reflects the data actually submitted into a matter, plus generated assets like markup images and search indices.
What is the data processing fee?
A one-time per-GB charge when raw data enters the ingestion pipeline. It covers text extraction, OCR preparation, search indexing, and embedding generation. The rate matches your tier's per-GB storage rate.
How are AI operations billed?
Every AI operation (OCR, classification, redaction, chat) is billed per use at your tier's rate. Higher tiers get lower per-unit rates. There are no quotas or limits — you simply pay for what you use, and charges appear on your next invoice.
Are LLM Summaries really free?
Yes. Document summaries are included at no additional cost on every plan.
